Today I passed my second CompTIA A+ exam. I’m now a certified IT Technician. Should look nice on the resume.

Now I may start charging the family for my services every time I have to fix their computers.

Mail theft

Back in September a couple of my Netflix movies never arrived. It happened again a few weeks later. I was supposed to receive a package that same day, but it didn’t show up either. Yet the tracking info said it had been delivered. I was convinced someone was stealing the mail, but no one else took it seriously.

A few more weeks go by and my parents start getting credit card statements showing that some of those cash advance checks had been used at gas stations and grocery stores locally and in neighboring counties. They got more letters and calls from credit card companies in the coming weeks. The total charges were over $2,000.

The good news is that the people responsible were eventually caught. Four women and one man. They did the same thing to almost 50 other homes. Their court date is next month. I hope they all go to jail.

Netflix and the stores that cashed the checks had to swallow the losses. I doubt I’ll be reimbursed for the $50 package they stole. That’s why I’m offering a carton of cigarettes to the first inmate to rape this guy in prison.
